Ijede Chairman Charges Residents On Indiscriminate Waste Disposal

Residents of Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, have been charged against indiscriminate waste disposal within the community.

The council chairman, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo -Alogba, gave the charge while leading the council team on the inspection of the June sanitation exercise on Saturday.

The Chairman was represented by his Vice, Hon. Femi Kabir.

Accompanied by members of the executive and management teams, legislators, and Environmental Health Officials, the Council Chairman monitored compliance and actively engaged with residents to promote the importance of a clean and healthy environment.

Hon. Gbadebo-Alogba, during the tour, engaged residents on challenges regarding indiscriminate waste disposal across the community.

She also expressed her appreciation to the people of Ijede for their cooperation while calling for greater participation in future exercises.

“We must all play our part to achieve a cleaner and healthier environment. I urge all residents to patronise PSP operators for proper waste disposal at all times,” she stated.
